Our Story
HOPE is an acronym for help, outreach, prevent and educate. This is what our foundation stands for as well. There are many national and international organizations that assist in the eradication of breast cancer. The individuals and corporations who founded Hope 4 You wanted to determine where help can be provided locally.

Current Exemption Status
After months and months of preparation President Holly Adams, and Treasurer Daniel Stengel, met October 2nd, 2007 at Commerce Bank for the signing of the Application for Recognition of Exemption under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Following the signing the application was sent to the Internal Revenue Service with a request to expedite the application.
On October 23, 2007, President Holly Adams announced to the Board of Directors, Foundation Committee, and all volunteers that we received our Exemption Approval Letter from the IRS!
This was truly a blessing considering the 501 (c) (3) application was signed, mailed and approved in only 3 weeks time! The effective date of exemption is listed as April 17, 2007 which is the date of our Certificate of Incorporation as a Missouri Nonprofit Corporation.
The IRS has confirmed that any donation made to the H.O.P.E. 4-You Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. will be given the charitable deduction on your tax return. If you have any questions regarding the regulations about the IRS 501 (c) (3) exemption status, you may reach the IRS at 1-877-829-5500.
Special recognition and much appreciation are given to Amanda Schmelzer and Daniel Stengel for their time and knowledge in accomplishing this great task. Thank you everyone for your heartfelt passion, as well as your time and talent that is reaching out and connecting our local area together.
